Yes. The 15 year old Aled must have been considered exceptional somewhere. He has a mature (for lack of a better word) sounding child's voice. Perhaps because of the fact his voiced hadn't changed at that relatively late age. Beautiful blended harmonies singing with his younger self. Taken by suprise,
Nobody down below believes their eyes.
We're surfing in the air,
We're swimming in the frozen sky,
We're drifting over icy mountains floating by.
Suddenly swooping low,
On an ocean deep,
Rousing up a mighty monster from his sleep.
We're walking in the air,
We're dancing in the midnight sky,
And everyone who sees us greets us as we fly.

And then, he shared this song with Malakai.even better!
This guy has two great voices
Did you notice the blue and white scarf? It appears to be a tribute to the scarf given to James from Father Christmas as seen in The Snowman (1982)
Bane: what a lovely lovely voice
Omg I love it. Is it me or am I the only one who had tears coming down my face 😭😭😭 still emotional
I love song when I 9 year oid
Happy 50th Birthday, Aled Jones!
I love listening to this when watching the snowman
Wow, as an American, I'd never heard of this singer. Impressive. Akin to Natalie & her Dad singing a studio duet.
The best thing about getting old for a few of us. You get a little bit wiser. You enjoy peacefulness more. Cherish each day more when you open your 👁️👁️. Sometimes your love for 🎶 changes. Beautiful 🎼🇺🇲
Ahhh the legend continues
This beautiful song takes me back many years to a childhood when, we may not have had many material possessions, but we had everything that counts. Love, nurturing and the reassurance of a loving family unit around us. Idyllic!!!
WOW! Just WOW!
What a beautiful duet. I've adored this song since the first time I heard it on The Snowman. Both Aled Jones and Peter Auty immortalized the music.
Yours are beautiful as you look, thanks for your sincere compliment, I would always give appreciation to my dedicated fans like you🌹🌹🌹🎸🎸🌹🌹
If describing a feel & sound of beauty.. this be it for sure.
This is so underrated! A true masterpiece and a phenomenal singer! Unlike the glamorous people of today who only sound ok due to auto tune. This is a true master piece 🥰❤️
I cry when I hear the younger Aled because I miss my youth, but the elder Aled's notes seem to comfort me.
The Welsh people have the sacred gift of pure angelic voice and song. It's indescribable.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aled jones, Malakai bayoh
We're walking in the air
We're floating in the moonlit sky
The people far below are sleeping as we fly
I'm holding very tight
I'm riding in the midnight blue
I'm finding I can fly so high above with you
Far across the world
The villages go by like dreams
The rivers and the hills, the forests and the streams
Children gaze open mouthed
Taken by surprise
Nobody down below believes their eyes
We're surfing in the air
We're swimming in the frozen sky
We're drifting over icy mountains floating by
Suddenly swooping low
On an ocean deep
Rousing up a mighty monster from his sleep
And walking in the air
We're dancing in the midnight sky
And everyone who sees us greets us as we fly
We're walking in the air
We're walking in the air
Growing up with this i have no words !
Some songs just move your heart and soul and this one of them, thank you 🙏💖
Wunderschön !!
I had LOVED this song since I saw Snowman in 1986 as a child. 🥹 Thank you for sharing this beautiful duet with the younger and adult self Alan. Wonderful idea! ✨🫶🏻
The singer in The Snowman wasn't actually Aled Jones - he simply did a cover version.
SPECTACULAR!!!!!!
what a beautiful song and such beautiful voices and the duet version works so well.
Totally agree.
He is beautiful; both then and now !!

@@oufc29Walking in the Air is the #1 *secular* carol. The #1 *sacred* carol is O Little Town of Bethlehem *the English version, tune FOREST GREEN. Noooot the American version, St. Louis.*
FOREST GREEN is the best *sacred* melody ever composed. Walking in the Air is *the best secular melody* ever written. Bravo, Aled!

WOW!! POW!!! SUPER GREAT INDEED !!!! NICE ONE ALED JONES. FROM U.K (2022).
I don't remember exactly what year it was but I remember being gifted with this beautiful film and this beautiful song by my dear late mother one Valentine's day. I was about 5 or 6 and I am now 34. The magic of the Snowman has NEVER left me. This song takes you places. I love you, Mama.
